The Georgia Public Health Association (GPHA) presented two Cobb & Douglas Public Health (CDPH) staff members with awards during their annual conference from May 1-3 at the Jekyll Island Conference Center in Jekyll Island, Georgia.
CDPH’s Marie Paul-David, MPH, Infectious Disease & Epidemiology & Center STI Epidemiology Program Manager, received the Stancliff Boone Communicable Disease Specialist Award. Paul-David was acknowledged for her outstanding contributions resulting in positive disease intervention activities within the state of Georgia.
GPHA also awarded the Communications Excellence Award to Valerie Crow, Director of Communications, CDPH. Recipients of this award have demonstrated exceptional communications and marketing work from Public Health Districts or similar organizations within the state.
