Every week, Georgia loses an average of four infants to sleep-related causes—tragedies that are preventable with simple safe sleep practices. Alarmingly, Cobb County reflects this statewide concern. Between 2011 and 2015, SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) was the third leading cause of death for children under one, and suffocation was the fourth. During 2015 alone, Cobb County reported nine sleep-related infant deaths—heartbreaking losses we can work together to prevent.
