Residential Swimming Pool Construction Permits (Septic Only)

If you have an on-site sewage management system (septic tank) and want to install a swimming pool at your home, please review the Requirements for Residential Swimming Pool Construction.

Prior to construction, provide a completed Residential Swimming Pool Construction Permit Application, along with a scale drawing of the property that includes the location of the pool, its deck, and associated structures.  Any septic system modifications that are necessary to accommodate the swimming pool project will require a separate permit.  Pool construction may not begin until any related septic system work has been completed and the Residential Swimming Pool Construction Permit has been issued by our department.

All applicable fees must be paid prior to receiving these Environmental Health Services.

Construction of a residential pool on property that is served by a city or county public sewer system does not require a permit from our department.
