The Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation has received a $25,000 contribution from Honda to enhance child safety programs through the provision of vehicle safety seats for families in need within Cobb and Douglas Counties. The funding will benefit SAFE KIDS Cobb and Douglas, both vital coalitions dedicated to preventing and reducing unintentional childhood injuries.

Lisa Crossman, Executive Director of the Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation said, “We are sincerely grateful for Honda’s generous support. This meaningful contribution will allow SAFE KIDS Cobb and SAFE KIDS Douglas to provide critical car seat inspections, safety education, and much-needed car seats to families who need them most. Honda’s investment is helping protect our community’s youngest and most vulnerable members.”

The SAFE KIDS (SK) Coalitions of Cobb and Douglas Counties, are non-profit, charitable organizations led by Cobb & Douglas Public Health (CDPH) and are part of the SAFE KIDS WORLDWIDE (www.safekids.org) network, the only national organization dedicated solely to the prevention of unintentional childhood injury – the number one killer of children ages 14 and under. Both coalitions serve more than 20,000 individuals through weekly car seat inspections by certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and the distribution of safety equipment.
