Cobb & Douglas Public Health (CDPH) is pleased to announce that Guide Star has awarded the Cobb & Douglas Health Foundation a Platinum Seal of Transparency.

The Platinum Seal represents the most robust and transparent profiles on Candid, indicating that a nonprofit has shared extensive and valuable information with the public. Gaining this recognition has been an arduous process for the agency dating back to June 2024.\

Nonprofits that earned a Seal averaged 53% more in contributions the following year than organizations with no Seal. The research also found organizations that elect to be more transparent had stronger performance across a range of governance, financial, and operational dimensions.

Demonstrates Commitment to Transparency: Awarded to organizations that go beyond basic transparency, showcasing their goals, strategies, and measurable impact.

Increased Donor Confidence: Donors are more likely to give to nonprofits that demonstrate a strong commitment to transparency and accountability.

Enhanced Visibility: Profiles with Gold or Platinum Seals are viewed more, boosting visibility with potential donors.

Promotes Accountability: The Candid Seal of Transparency encourages nonprofits to be more accountable for their activities and use of funds.
