National Public Health Week is April 4 – 10, 2016 and Cobb & Douglas Public Health (CDPH) wants to help residents be aware and take advantage of the valuable resources in their communities.

Serving Cobb and Douglas counties, CDPH offers 30 distinct public health programs, from those that primarily focus on the educational and health needs of residents, to the investigation and mitigation of infectious disease or foodborne illnesses that affect the entire population. CDPH also plays a vital role in preparing and protecting residents in the event a disaster or health emergency occurs, and has established community mobilization partnerships to involve the local community in taking charge of their health.
