Cobb & Douglas Public Health introduced its newly renovated Douglas Public Health Center from 2 – 4 p.m. on March 26, welcoming residents of Douglas County to tours of the updated facilities that offer several key public health services for the area.
Residents were treated to light refreshments and greeted by staff who gave tours of the improved waiting and service spaces for programs such as WIC (Women, Infant & Child Supplemental Nutrition), Safe Kids and Family Health. In addition to these programs, the Douglas Public Health center offers several other key services including:
*Child & Adult Immunizations
*Women’s Health & Family Planning
Free mammogram referrals
*School Entrance Screenings
K – 12 entrance forms (3231 & 3300)

College forms
In addition to its physical renovation, the Douglas Public Health Center has expanded acceptance of most major insurance plans to help residents achieve greater access to healthcare. Plans include, but are not limited to, Humana; Aetna; Coventry; Blue Cross/Blue Shield; PeachCare; Medicaid; Amerigroup; and Wellcare.
