Pam Blackwell, Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response for Cobb & Douglas Public Health, was recently appointed to serve on the National Association of County and City Health Officials (NACCHO) Preparedness Policy Advisory Group (PPAG). This group is an ad hoc advisory group that was developed as a two-year pilot (Feb. 1, 2012-Jan. 31, 2014) and will served under the direction of NACCHO’s Preparedness Committee. The PPAG will be utilized as a vehicle to obtain input and feedback from local health department representatives on a variety of issues concerning public health preparedness, response, and recovery.
